Frequently asked questions.

EMDR + IFS PARTS Protocol Training FAQs

Who should participate in the Integrated EMDR and IFS Model training?

Therapists must complete an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training and have a foundational understanding of the EMDR and IFS Models. For those newer to IFS, I provide a free 90-minute overview training on demand that provides the foundational knowledge you’ll need to complete the Integration Model course. That on-demand course is linked here.

For therapists who feel they need an EMDR Refresher, I offer a 2.5-hour refresher for $59, which comes with 2.5 EMDRIA and NBCC CEs. That on-demand course is linked here.

Does your EMDR+IFS PARTS training include CEUs?

EMDRIA has approved the Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 1 training as 16 CEs for the live training and 7.5 CE for the on-demand version.

I am an approved provider for NBCC. The Level 1 integration course has 18 NBCC CEs for the live event and 7.5 for the on-demand version.

Foundations Masterclass FAQs

Who is eligible to sign up for IFS Foundations?

Participants must be licensed therapists in their state, province, country, or jurisdiction. Associate or intern-level therapists practicing under supervision are welcome to join as well. Learning this modality works best when therapists have individual clients who can practice the techniques.

Do I need any IFS training before enrolling in this course?

No, this course is designed for therapists with little IFS education or exposure.

What is the schedule and time zone?

The schedule changes based on my availability and personal schedule for each cohort. I am based in San Diego, California, USA, and all times are listed in the Pacific Time Zone.

How will I know when registration will open for the next cohort of Foundations?

Please sign up for my mailing list. I will send a mass email when I select the next round of dates.

How does this course compare to an IFS Institute level 1 training?

This course is designed to provide a foundational IFS education to bridge the gap for therapists who cannot participate in an IFS Institute level 1 training due to the time commitment, cost, or waitlist. The content is similar to what is covered in an IFSI Level 1 course.

Can I refer to myself as IFS Trained after completing this course?

The term IFS Trained is only granted by the IFS Institute after the completion of a level 1 training. Participants in this program often refer to themselves as IFS-informed or as integrating “parts work” into their clinical practice.

What is your refund policy?

The course must be paid in full to reserve your seat. Full refunds are issued in full if notice is provided at least 2 weeks before the start date of the cohort. Anything after that time is refunded less a $100 processing fee.

Is there any required reading?

Yes, the required reading is Internal Family Systems Therapy, Second Edition by Richard C. Schwartz and Martha Sweezy available on Amazon or the IFS Institute Bookstore.
